For local Asian, the seasonal tropical climate fruit flesh is described as addictive, sweet, succulent, aromatic, flavourful and soft in texture despite of it spiky thorny shell, Durian is well-known to most part of the world.

However, for some part of the world especially the Western world, it will be described as smelly foul and unappealing taste in the mouth. Despite that, it is famously dubbed as ‘The King of Fruit’, probably because of the nature of it thorny big shell and the title might be the cause for the hefty price tag.

Minimum of USD10 per Kilo is for standard grade of the King fruit which is weight with the inedible spiky shell.

You can find the fruit almost everywhere in Kuala Lumpur. The photo above was taken from the infamous street for tourists, Jalan Alor Bukit Bintang.

First time having lunch here at Le Petit Dotty’s Platinum Park, Jalan Persiaran KLCC

With a shortlist menu, my best option was to try was their pasta ‘salted egg yolk spaghetti with beef bacon’ (forgot to take the served plate pic) priced at RM29. The pasta was indulged in an orangish color from the salted egg yolk (tho it wasn’t tasted salty at all) was a bit dry with cherry tomato (stale-taste) and chunk of beef bacon (juicy). Their pasta meal priced with a complimentary ice tea/coffee.

Luckily, I came with a colleague where she ordered their spaghetti cabonara with turkey ham, RM26 . It tasted better with generous portion of ham chunk.

Came to the desert menu, we tried their signature ‘salted egg cronut’ rm12 (if not mistaken) as well as ‘salted caramel doughnut’

I dont have a sweet tooth so pastry is not my area as I find both of the pastry sugary sweet.
